Tappy Notes

Tappy Notes is a colourful rhythm game that derived from my struggle to play with two hands at the keyboard. Essentially, players must play a repeating pattern with one hand and play additional notes with the other to earn extra points. The game was developed during the EngD but was more of a side project to reflect my own personal learning goals. Players must play the pattern to a set tempo to stay within the rhythm bar or will lose health over time; helping to not only improve hand co-ordination but rhythm skills as well. Whilst it is a simple prototype, I intend to invest more time in development where I can as many of the testing sessions yielded highly positive results and the game looks both visually aesthetic and sounds great when playing.
