Icon Experience

The breif was to create a game in which a random task was chosen from a list of given tasks and then show a grid of icons to determine the correcet one to complete the task (e.g. press a hoover icon to hoover the ship). The goal was to find a correlation between speed of response and the overall aesthetic of the icon (those more aestheically pleasing should be found quicker). The game was created in Unity in roughly a week and the results from the studies found positive correlations. In the example gif, we replaced the actual symbols with placeholders to avoid any copy cats etc. Artwork was created by a student at the time but the rest of logic and mechanics were my own doing. You can see the results are written to text files for sake of ease when conducting studies.
